Continue the journey through my artworks.
A door between two worlds.
SILENCE IS MUSIC.
Silence is not absence.
It is a choice.
LET’S START WITH THE MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE
Since it is a sliding door, I painted both sides.
The material is wood, but given its size, a lighter internal structure was designed.
Once it was built, I applied several layers of a highly textured white base.
On this surface, I worked with oil pastels, gradually shaping the figure.
Finally, a clear matte varnish completes and protects the artwork.
WHAT INSPIRED ME?
The person who commissioned this door asked me to create two different atmospheres within the same space.
On one side, a quiet, private room.
On the other, a more lively and convivial space.
AND SO, “SILENCE IS MUSIC” WAS BORN
Silence is music.
Because only in silence can we truly listen to ourselves.
